US Embassy delivers set of computers and mattresses to the Ministry of Justice costing 218 thousand dollars

City of Praia, 18 Dec (Inforpress) – The Embassy of the United States of America (USA), in Praia, today delivered a set of computers, UPS, mattresses to the superior councils of the Judiciary and the Public Prosecutor’s Office through the budgeted Ministry of Justice at 218 thousand dollars.

The act of handing over this equipment, which will serve to improve the Justice Information System (SIJ) in the fight against the slow pace of justice in Cabo Verde, was presided over today in Praia by the US ambassador to Cabo Verde, Jeff Daigle, the Minister of Justice, Joana Rosa, and the president of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, Bernardino Delgado.

Of the equipment handed over, the two Superior Councils, one for the Judiciary and the other for the Public Prosecutor’s Office, received around 73 computers and 44 UPS and finally the General Directorate for Prison Services and Social Reintegration received around 420 mattresses.

When presiding over the delivery of this equipment, Jeff Daigle said that this donation is the reason for recognizing the “resilient and well-positioned” partnership between the United States of America and Cabo Verde, in combating threats, regional security and in the fight for a system unstable international.
