United Nations supports Cabo Verde to improving business environment and Public Administration

Praia, Apr 10 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde and the United Nations signed the 2019 Joint Work Plan in the City of Praia this Tuesday, according to the Cabo Verdean Minister of Foreign Affairs, “will improve the business environment” in the country as well as the Public Administration.

“We believe that the defined areas, by their direct implication in the Strategic Plan for Sustainable Development, but also in the United Nations Development Goals – Agenda 2030, will contribute in a very significant way to fight against poverty, improve the functioning of institutions and above all to increase the resilience of the country”, said Luís Filipe Tavares, in statements to the press in the margins of the signing of the aforementioned plan.

For the Cabo Verdean diplomatic chief, the country is “working hard” to strengthen its institutions, in order to guarantee the sustainability of the national development process.

The aforementioned Plan imports 20 million dollars, with 15 million, according to the minister, are already guaranteed, while the remaining, Cabo Verde and the United Nations will continue to work to achieve them.
