Uni-CV promotes workshop on responsible artificial intelligence in promoting of sustainable development in ECOWAS

City of Praia, 27 Nov (Inforpress) – The University of Cabo Verde (Uni-CV) is promoting, this Tuesday, in the city of Praia, a workshop entitled “Responsible artificial intelligence in promoting of diversity and sustainable development in ECOWAS”.

In a statement, Uni-CV explains that the Responsible Artificial Intelligence Lab (RAIL) aims to take the first step in establishing a sustainable approach to encourage local talent to get involved in research, innovation and development of multidisciplinary and responsible artificial intelligence.

RAIL, according to the note, aims to promote the creation of a consortium that currently involves Cabo Verde, Senegal and Ghana, indicating that it is based in Ghana, at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and has satellite laboratories in Cabo Verde at University of Cabo Verde and in Senegal, at the Université Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar.

The workshop on responsible artificial intelligence in promoting diversity and sustainable development in the Community of West African States (ECOWAS) aims to publicize this consortium, the activities developed, ongoing initiatives and future perspectives.
