Three years / Government: Eunice Silva focuses on solving Chã problem, tents and improving access to localities

Praia, Apr 24 (Inforpress) – The Minister for Infrastructures and Housing described the three years of governance as “very good” and outlined the prospects for the Chã das Caldeiras, Fogo Island, tents and  improving access to localities.

Eunice Silva, speaking in an exclusive interview with Inforpress, as a balance sheet of the three-year governance of Ulisses Correia e Silva’s cast, supported by the Movement for Democracy (MpD), said that works are not done in six months or one year.

But she stressed that her ministry works in a planned way and is continuing the projects she has started since the beginning of the mandate, with the goal of “solving the problem in Chã das Caldeiras, solving the problem of tents in Boa Vista and Sal Island, creating new expansion zones, building new housing so that people can live in decent areas”.

“The perspectives are the changes that are happening from the institutional point of view, with the law we are reviewing, with the normalization, with the planning we are doing with the development plans, the serious problems of housing and urban growth in a disorderly way,” said the minister, stating that at the moment they are preparing various plans so that the municipal councils can have a guide that delimits the area and the use to be given.
