The City of Praia hosts international conference and 2nd forum on cybercrime in the Portuguese-speaking world

Praia, April 11 (Inforpress) – The City of Praia hosts an international conference followed by the 2nd forum on cybercrime on June 11 and 12, bringing together Public Prosecutors’ Offices representatives from all CPLP countries.

According to a note from the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) of Cabo Verde, the international conference on cybercrime and electronic evidence, lasting two days, will feature national and international speakers and the participation of judges, Judicial Police inspectors and technician telecommunication operators.

According to the organization, the meeting aims above all to raise awareness among the states represented, which have not yet adhered to the European convention on cybercrime, better known as the Budapest convention to do so.

On the other hand, it will serve to assess the legislative gaps in the Portuguese-speaking world, so as to contribute to strengthening the capacity to combat cybercrime in these countries, in particular the stimulation and development of policies to combat disinformation and ‘fake news’ and to promote the use of the Public Prosecutors’ Offices platform of the CPLP countries.
