Tarrafal de São Nicolau, Jan 29 (Inforpress) – The single official Carnival group in Tarrafal de São Nicolau, “Amigos da Natureza”, confirmed today that it will parade on February 22 and 23, after a three-year without go out.
According to the group’s vice president, Jamil Cruz, the group returns “in a big way”, promising to bring something different and never seen, after a period in which they were “asleep”, and, therefore, the plot is, this year, “reborn from dreams”.
The theme, as he explained, represents everything the group did during the eight years of Carnival in a row and, he said, will be reproduced in miniatures in the only float they will present.
Jamil Cruz confirmed that the group will go out this year, Saturday and Sunday night, and on Monday afternoon, as they usually did, not escaping the rule of what was “custom” in previous years. The preparations for the Carnival are already being finalized, namely, the fundraising, the float, the music, the mobilization of the staff to engage in the group, but, regarding the rehearsals, he guaranteed that 15 days before the carnival will begin.
