Espargos, Dec 7 (Inforpress) – The 150 Cabo Verde Airlines passengers who were due to travel to Lagos, Nigeria, since Friday have returned to Sal island airport due to bad weather conditions. Also because of this adversity, it was not possible to take passengers from Lagos to Washington.
Cabo Verde Airlines’ source told Inforpress today that the atmospheric situation has caused major embarrassment, especially with the hub system, which, as it clarified, if one flight delays all the others will follow, causing a delay of about 3:30 minutes.
He explained that the passengers to Lagos were placed in the hotels in Santa Maria, waiting for the weather to improve, because “against the force there is no resistance”, he said.
Another Cabo Verde Airlines flight to Portugal, which was due to leave this afternoon at 2:00PM, is still waiting for a “green light” for boarding passengers. A note to which Inforpress had access says that Cabo Verde Airlines will keep up-to-date information about its flights on social networks, safeguarding that it is doing its best to “minimize inconvenience” and catch up “in the shortest possible time”.
