Rehabilitation of new maritime station at Porto da Praia in process of finalizing technical studies

Cidade da Praia, 28 Nov (Inforpress) – The rehabilitation of the new maritime station in Porto da Praia is in the process of finalizing technical studies, as well as others on some islands, in an investment of 220,000 escudos, the Minister of the Sea announced today.

Abraão Vicente said in Praia that the refurbishment of the new maritime station will provide travellers with a reception service with “all the conditions” for comfort during embarkation and disembarkation, with a new reception system.

At the moment, he said, technical studies are being finalized for the rehabilitation of the two maritime stations in São Vicente, one connected to the cruise court and the other for passenger transport and cabotage.

Palmeira, on the island of Sal, and Vale dos Cavaleiros, on the island of Fogo, are the other two ports that will also benefit in this first phase, according to Abraão Vicente.

He also added that next the ports on the islands of Boa Vista and São Nicolau will be included in improvement works.
