Praia, 20 Dec (Inforpress) – The president of the Professional Institute of Technologies and Arts, Ana Reis, stated this Thursday that the institution lost almost half of its students during 2023, due to the post-pandemic situation and the departure of students abroad.

The president of the Center of training, who was speaking on the sidelines of the visit of the French ambassador to Cabo Verde, Catherine Mancip, to the institution, declared that the success rate has been very high, “it is around 94 percent (%), compared to other centers”, adding that there are courses with 100% employability.

According to Ana Reis, the space has better conditions compared to the previous one and can accommodate 32 classes. “Before the pandemic, the institution had around 400 students, but currently it has fewer, due to the loss of students abroad.”

With regard to the ambassador’s visit, she said that it focused on getting to know the institution, its projects and strengthening cooperation ties, adding that she was one of the mentors and founders of the EPT ARTES Institute and a French government scholarship holder, specialising in the area of Management.
