Praia: School Non-Violence and Peace Education Day marked with march involving 200 children

Praia, Jan 30 (Inforpress) – The Donana Foundation held a march on the Day of School Non-Violence and Peace Education, marked today, with the participation of 200 children from the Adventist School, with the aim of raising awareness of the culture of peace.

The initiative was carried out as part of the Donana Foundation’s network of partner schools for training in citizenship education.

Speaking to the press, the president of Fundação Donana, Ana Maria Hopffer Almada, informed that several activities will be carried out during the day, which aim to educate for the culture of peace and non-violence at school, involving students from pre-primary until the 8th year of schooling.

“Violence is not just in schools, it is throughout our society, violence against children, women, animals, the environment, and there is also violence on social media, for example, gossip, slander, insults, all of this is violence”, she stated.
