Porto Novo: Craftsmen propose including the cultural village in the tourist circuit in this high cruise season

Porto Novo, Oct 30 (Inforpress) – The handicrafts worker association UniArt – Porto Novo, in Santo Antão, today proposed the inclusion of the cultural space of the cultural village, in the city of Porto Novo, in the city’s tourist circuit in this new cruise season.

As this is a space where artisans are exhibiting their products, UniArt – Porto Novo has expressed its desire to see this space included on the tourist route during this peak season for tourism in Santo Antão, so that tourists arriving on the island can get to know and buy the work of these artists.

“Com início da nova temporada de cruzeiros, que coincide com a época alta do turismo em Santo Antão, sugerimos que visitem a aldeia cultural do Porto Novo e conhecem o extraordinário trabalho made by our creative craftspeople through the exhibition and sale of their products, organised by UniArt – PN,” explained the same source.

With the exhibition, which runs from Monday to Saturday, the artisans, according to UniArt – Porto Novo, intend to publicize their products “giving greater visibility” to those who, directly or indirectly, are linked to this practice that has contributed to local development”.
