International Monetary Fund approves first review of the Cabo Verde support program

Praia, Mar 31 (Inforpress) – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has just approved the first review of the Cabo Verde support program.

The information was put forward ​today by the Deputy Prime Minister, Olavo Correia.

The Minister of Finance also wrote in his official page at the social network Facebook that “the country has achieved all goals and with strong performance”.

“The institution emphasizes the need for a political response and coordinated support from development partners, taking into account that COVID-19 will strongly impact the world economy and, consequently, tourism flows, which, in turn, will impact directly Cabo Verde’s economy during this year, in a more serious way ”, he said.

Olavo Correia also stressed that “the country was on an admittedly positive trajectory at all levels”.
