Praia, Jan 24 (Inforpress) – Diplomats now have a new Career Statute to modernize the condition of work, announced the spokesman of the Council of Ministers, who revealed measures to create more youth jobs through professional training.
Gathered this Thursday in the Council of Ministers, the Government approved the Diplomatic Career Statute, presented by Luís Filipe Tavares, as an “important reform” to improve the functioning of this career, in order to modernize, more and more, the evaluation and performance of Cabo Verdean public administration.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, as the spokesman for the Council of Ministers, said that with this measure it is intended to “further dignify the diplomat’s career and, above all, create the conditions for diplomats to adapt “to new times of great uncertainty and unpredictability of what happens in the world”.
The Minister of Defense also considered diplomacy as a “very important axis” in a rule of law, namely in attracting investment and financing important projects for the development of the archipelago.
