Former prime minister defends acceleration the pace of the transformation and integration of services in the field of Technologies

Praia, Apr 10 (Inforpress) – The former Cabo Verdean prime minister acknowledged that it is necessary to “accelerate” the pace of the transformation and integration of services in the field of information technology so that the final services to citizens are “increasingly of better quality”.

José Maria Neves made these considerations in a statement to the press, on the sidelines of the ceremony for the presentation of the book “Electronic Governance for Sustainable Development”, made this Monday in the City of Praia, as part of the celebration of the 2nd anniversary of the José Maria Neves Foundation for Governance.

For the former prime minister, there has been some “stagnation” and “segmentation” in the creation of new services in the Information and Communication Technologies area, defending the need to take advantage of information technologies to ensure better governance of the country and the development of the whole technological system.

Cabo Verde, he continued, has made huge investments in recent years, but has not been able to take advantage of them, asserting that it is necessary to reflect and present new products, continue to develop NOSI and create conditions for the Data Center to continue to work.
