Foreign Trade records a 14.3% decrease in exports in November 2023

Praia, Dec 29 (Inforpress) – Provisional foreign trade data for November 2023 showed a decrease of around 14.3 per cent (%) compared to the same period in 2022, the National Institute of Statistics (INE) announced today.

According to the INE press release, the imports fell by 12.7 per cent compared to November 2022, and re-exports fell by 24.2 per cent compared to the same period in 2022.

In the period under analysis, the trade balance deficit decreased by 12.6% and the coverage rate decreased by 0.1 percentage point (p.p.).

According to INE data, Cabo Verde’s exports totalled 380,000 escudos in November, corresponding to a decrease of 63,000 escudos (-14.3%) compared to the same period last year.
