Fogo: Island hosts lecture on new challenges in the protection of personal data

São Filipe, Jan 18 (Inforpress) – The National Commission of Data Protection (CNPD) is holding a lecture next week in the city of São Filipe, Fogo island, entitled “The protection of personal data; new challenges”.

The lecture, according to a CNPD press release, aims to strengthen the protection of citizens’ personal data and give data controllers confidence in order to gain knowledge in the area of personal data protection.

During the lecture, the new obligations of the Public Administration with regard to data protection, the duties of those responsible for processing in the case of video surveillance systems, and the protection of data of children and adolescents in the digital environment will be discussed and analyzed, being that it will be open to citizens and data controllers.

According to the program, after the opening ceremony, which will feature interventions of the CNPD representative and the mayor of São Filipe, topics such as “data protection: new obligations of the Public Administration”, “video surveillance: obligation of the person responsible for processing” will be analyzed. ” and “data protection of children and adolescents in the digital environment”, followed by a debate.
