Employee of CV Handling arrested in Cabo Verde with 5.2 kilos of cocaine

Praia, May 27 (Inforpress) – The Judicial Police (PJ) announced on Saturday the arrest, at the Nelson Mandela International Airport in the City of Praia, of an employee of CV Handling, recently arrived from Guinea-Bissau, who was carrying 5.2 kilos of cocaine.

In a statement, the PJ said that the arrest took place on Friday, and the suspect was arrested in flagrante delicto, in possession of two bags with about 5.520 grams of cocaine hidden in a false bottom.

The 47-year-old man, who was traveling on a flight from Guinea-Bissau, is suspected of a crime of international drug trafficking.

CV Handling is the provider of groundhandling services at airports and aerodromes in Cabo Verde.
