Covid-19 / Maio: PAICV asks the City Hall to implement measures to minimize the economic impact on the most vulnerable families

Porto Inglês, Apr 9 (Inforpress) – The Regional Political Commission of the African Independence Party of Cabo Verde (PAICV-opposition party) today urged the City Hall of Maio to consider the full exemption of rent payments in all municipal facilities, for a period of three months.

The president of the PAICV Regional Political Commission on the island, Agostinho Silva, today addressed a letter to the mayor, Miguel Rosa, in which he urges the City Hall to consider full exemption of rent payments in all municipal facilities closed for a three-month period.

Agostinho Silva also asked for full exemption of rent payments to all institutions of a social, cultural, sports and recreational nature, installed in municipal facilities, for the same period of time.

The president of the PAICV Regional Political Commission in the island also requested in the letter to suspend the collection of all fees related to the occupation of public space and advertising in all commercial establishments, with the exception of banks, credit institutions and insurance companies working in the island.
