COVID-19: CCS defends argues the creation of a “rigorous” plan for the institutions functioning to reopen the economy

Praia, May 7 (Inforpress) – The secretary general of the Sotavento Chamber of Commerce (CCS) defended today the need to create conditions for reopening the economy, with a “rigorous” plan for the institutions functioning.

José Luís Neves made this observation in statements to Inforpress, to analyze the results of a survey on the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on the national companies activities, presented this Tuesday, 5th, in Praia, by the Cabo Verde Women Entrepreneurs Association (AMES & CD).

“We have to create conditions, as soon as possible, to resume activities (..) the epidemiological situation we have at the moment in the country does not prevent us, with a rigorous plan for the institutions functioning and for raising people’s awareness, to resume gradually many activities”, he pointed out.

On the other hand, he indicated that due to the great uncertainty of the international and scientific community in relation to this pandemic, if the situation gets complicated, Cabo Verde will have to take stronger measures.
