Nova Sintra, April 24 (Inforpress) – A group of emigrants from Brava in the United States raised 5.500 dollars to support the most needy and vulnerable families in Brava, associated with combating the COVID-19 outbreak.

The idea of ​​promoting this solidarity campaign was launched by Elígio Burgo, a natural emigrant from the island of Brava, but currently resident in the USA, aiming to support the most needy and vulnerable families in the flower islands.

Speaking to Inforpress, the mentor of the action said that he mobilized other countrymen in the USA, representing some areas of Brava, to carry out joint work, for the “good of the Brava population”.

According to the same source, in Brava, they are counting on the support of commercial houses, the City Hall and individual people to deliver the food basket. He added that this solidarity campaign also has the engagement of the Catholic Church, which provided a space to place and organize food baskets.
