Cape Verdean Association for the Fight Against Gender-Based Violence shares strategic plan with partners

Praia, 21 Nov (Inforpress) – The Cape Verdean Association for the Fight Against Gender-Based Violence (ACLCVBG) shared today with its partners the National Strategic Plan 2024-2028, which establishes as a priority the fight against violence and practices against women and the sustainability of the organization.

Speaking to the press, within the scope of the strategic document validation seminar, in the City of Praia, the president, Vicenta Fernandes, clarified that faced with the challenges imposed on a non-profit association that has been working “randomly”, it was decided to create an alignment plan for the next five years.

The instrument defines as a priority, she explained, internal and external financing search mechanisms for the organization’s projects, with the aim of achieving the goal of “zero deaths and zero violence and harmful practices” towards women in Cabo Verde.

“The document foresees the interaction of the association with other organizations from the Government, institutes, bodies that are more linked to gender-based violence, but also intense contact with international counterpart organizations that already have more experience working in the area”, she said, highlighting that they need more resources, especially for the economic empowerment of these women.
