Cabo Verde wants to deepen partnership with the EU through Macaronesia and Outermost Regions – Jorge Santos

Praia City, 09 Nov (Inforpress) – The Minister of Communities said this Wednesday, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain), that Cabo Verde wants to deepen its special partnership relationship with the European Union (EU) through of Macaronesia and its Outermost Regions.

Jorge Santos made this statement when speaking at the opening of the XXVIII Conference of Presidents of the Outermost Regions (CPRUP), representing the Cape Verdean Government, which takes place on the 8th and 9th of this month, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

This desire of partnership between Macaronesia and its Outermost Regions, according to this official, aims to reinforce concertation and convergence of policies that favour economic, social, technological development and connectivity.

During his speech he highlighted the strategic importance of the RUP and the European territorial cooperation program “Interreg MAC 2021-2027”, in the development of these regions among themselves and with other countries.
