Cabo Verde wants co-operation with Brazil to reach a new level of excellence

Praia, Jan 24 (Inforpress) – The Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday praised the “fruitful” cooperation that exists between Cabo Verde and Brazil in different areas, expressing that the country wants this partnership to be taken to another level of excellence.

These statements were made by Miryan Vieira following the signing of a technical co-operation agreement for the implementation of the project “Strengthening the Technical Capacity of the Institute of Management of Quality and Intellectual Property (IGQPI) in the fields of Metrology and Conformity Assessment” between the two countries.

The Secretary of State emphasised that for the Cape Verdean government the agreement signed is of the utmost importance, as part of a project of “capital importance” for the country, which will allow the IGQPI and other national institutions that make up the national quality system to intensify and improve their capacity.

“It is a project whose execution will last two years, and may also be extended, if the objectives are not achieved within that period, for an amount of up to 2 million dollars”, she said.
