Cabo Verde and Portugal sign agreement to consolidate centre of professional excellence in the country

Praia, Nov 4 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde and Portugal signed a memorandum of understanding in Praia today to consolidate a centre of professional excellence in the country with the aim of developing the skills and qualifications of young people.

The document was initialled by Portugal’s Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security, Ana Mendes Godinho, and the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Business Development, Olavo Correia, as part of the two-day visit to the archipelago by the Portuguese government.

On the occasion, Ana Mendes Godinho described the signing of this agreement as “historic” since Portugal will be making a direct investment of 4 million euros (around PTE 440 billion), which will enable young people to be equipped with the skills they need to assert themselves in a global world and also to be “the great weapons” of Cabo Verde’s development.
