Brava: Works to be completed one year after the collapse on the access road to Fajã d’Água

Nova Sintra, Jan 23 (Inforpress) – The mayor of Brava said that the works resulting from the collapse of the road in Fajã d’Água on January 21, 2023, are in the final stages, but that the infrastructure “urgently” needs intervention.

Speaking to Inforpress today, Francisco Tavares assured that the Estrada de Cabo Verde company has already received the money that was released by the government as a fund as a result of the declaration of a state of calamity due to the floods.

“This January, the company responsible for paving the road was supposed to be doing the work, since the wall has already been completely rebuilt and now, on our part, all that remains is the paving and cleaning of the road, in the place where the collapse occurred”, he informed.

As the mayor highlighted, the Fajã d´Água road needs, as quickly as possible, the intervention of the company Estrada de Cabo Verde, whose damage was caused by floods from the rains of September and October last year.
