“Arnaldo França was a man who left marks on Cabo Verdean culture and economy” – Deputy Prime Minister

Praia, Dec 17 (Inforpress) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Olavo Correia considered that Arnaldo França was a man who “left his mark” on Cabo Verdean culture and economy and then honored him a day later from the date (December 15) when he would turn 94 years old.

Olavo Correia was speaking to Inforpress on Monday, in Praia, on the fringes of a cultural night, with songs and poetry, to pay a posthumous tribute to Arnaldo França, promoted by the Ministry of Finance in partnership with the Interatlantico Bank and the Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries.

“Cabo Verde has great figures who have marked our common history that deserve to be honored,” he recalled, adding that Arnaldo França was one of those figures, as he made his contribution as a man of culture, secretary of state, as well as minister of finance.

For the ruler, Arnaldo França was a “good person, educated and intellectual”, who was on both sides of both economy and culture, making a contribution that deserves to be remembered.
