ARES will help in the preparation of the 5th Meeting of Higher Education Regulatory Agencies of Portuguese-Speaking Countries

Mindelo, Nov 2nd  (Inforpress) – The Higher Education Regulatory Agency (ARES) will support entities from São Tomé and Príncipe to prepare the 5th Meeting of Higher Education Regulatory Agencies of Portuguese-speaking countries scheduled for 2024.

This information was provided to Inforpress by the ARES administrator and general coordinator of the ARES/CPLP Study project, José Jorge Dias, in a review of the mission he carried out to São Tomé and Príncipe (STP) from the 21st to the 27th of October.

According to José Jorge Dias, specifically, ARES will help the Directorate of Higher Education and Science (DESC) of that country in preparing an Activity Plan for the meeting of higher education regulatory agencies in the Countries of the Portuguese Language Community (CPLP

“Guinea-Bissau and Equatorial Guinea will join this format with a view to making normative documents for the regulation of quality assurance in Higher Education in CPLP Member States and quality assurance mechanisms, including instruments and evaluation and accreditation procedures, more standardized in the construction of a common project that aims at the harmonious development of Higher Education in all its aspects in the CPLP”, he clarified.
