APMUID goes to Santa Cruz to celebrate anniversary and to listen to the problems of women with disabilities in the county

Praia, Jan 16 (Inforpress) – The Cabo Verdean Association for the Promotion and Inclusion of Women with Disabilities (APIMUD) is holding Saturday, 18th, in Santa Cruz (countryside of Santiago), a set of activities to celebrate the fifth anniversary of its creation.

The event, organized in partnership with City Hall of Santa Cruz, aims, according to APIMUD president Naldi Veiga, to listen to the problems of women with disabilities and to promote interaction between women with disabilities in the municipality and Praia.

“With this, we want to know the difficulties faced by women with disabilities in the municipality of Santa Cruz and promote the resolution of these difficulties, thus contributing to social inclusion,” she said.

The association plans on the 18th to start activities with batucadeiras “Fidjus de ADEVIC”, presentation of the theme for debate “Emotional Education for the Empowerment of People with Disabilities”, followed by the performance of batucadeiras APIMUD. Also during the meeting, the theme “Promotion of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities”, Cote’s performance (iron and harmonica), signing of agreement between ADEVIC and CMSC and performance of the musical group “Voz da ADEVIC”.
