Ambassador of Guinea-Bissau to Cabo Verde highlights José Carlos Schwarz’s contribution in the struggle for the liberation of the Guinean people

Praia, May 28 (Inforpress) – Guinea Bissau’s ambassador to Cabo Verde, M’bála Fernandes, highlighted Monday the contribution José Carlos Schwarz made in the struggle for the liberation of the Guinean people, contributing with an immense legacy cultural heritage.

M’bála Fernandes made this point to Inforpress, on the sidelines of the tribute to the musician José Carlos Schwarz, promoted by the Embassy of the Republic of Guinea Bissau in Cabo Verde, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, an event that took place at the Ildo Lobo Culture Palace .

On the occasion, the diplomat said that it was “a fair tribute” to the person who gave “a great contribution to the national liberation struggle of the peoples of Guinea-Bissau and Cabo Verde, and to an “inescapable figure”, and will be marked in the recent history and in Guinean cultural heritage.

He also emphasized that the figure of José Carlos Schwarz prides all Guineans, as well as Cabo Verdeans, and it is necessary to pass on to the new generation that the liberation struggle was not only made of weapons but also on other fronts in which the musician wrote his name.
