1st African Beach Games: Beach volley tournament qualifies for the Olympic Games

Praia, Apr 30 (Inforpress) – The beach volleyball tournament, one of the 11 modalities to be played at the 1st African Beach Games held in Sal Island, will be qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

As Inforpress learned from the organization, this will be the first time that Cabo Verde organizes a competition with this status, an event that also guarantees qualification in football for the World Championship in San Diego, United States of America.

The beach football tournament will qualify the African representatives, male (1st and 2nd place) and female (1st place), for the next World Beach Games 2019 or ANOC World Beach Games, which will take place in San Diego from October 8 to 15.

Sources at the organization consider that these qualifications are even more prestigious for the 1st African Beach Games, which will also serve to qualify the eight best men’s and women’s doubles, also in beach volleyball, for the African General Games in Rabat, Morocco, scheduled for next September.
